I see no reason for this mod, the weight savings aren't worth a hill of beans and you end up with all the hassles of making it fit, lower capacity, and higher cost. A battery from Walmart, Autozone or any other outlet will give you a brand new, 3 year warrantied battery for around $100. Why fool around with a lightweight battery in this application? Keep life simple.
