Default ISX50 Carbon Fiber Fenders

Over the years on this forum has anyone seen anyone with carbon fiber fenders on an ISX50?

The only thing to do is shed weight. I've seen it on one or two cars but no one on CL. I have seen it on an IS-F though. If you do it, be sure to weigh them before you put them on and report the changes. When I get to the weight saving part of my build, I'll be sure to put these on. Thanks for the heads up!

Seibon makes a set for the ISF. They look good.

I'll see what JSKracing says about the weight reduction.

Carbon fenders usually don't save that much weight. I would be surprised if they save more than 5lbs. Unlike a hood or trunk lid there isn't any structure behind a fender, so there just isn't that much weight to be lost.

I've seen it on an ISF. I'm not too much of a fan of putting too much carbon on the car. I know you got the hood but if you got it you'd have too much carbon up front.

if it makes quite a difference in weight then it would be good, except i would still paint it because leaving it in CF just screams douchebag imo

i would just do the hood or trunk looks weird with just the fender being CF and the rest of the car just paint.

CF dashboard??? <MEH... Interesting...

I have only seen the ISF guys that has the carbon fenders. To be honest I don't see a need for it unless you are truly wanting to track your car to shed some weight, or if you get ones with the side vents like the ISF to give a heat source exit from the engine bay or if you are one of the high roller isx50 owners here. ;-) Another reason people don't have it here is that most of the Lexus owners here are trying to keep their prestige look and like sffd103 mentioned, too much CF just doesn't look good unless you paint over so no one can tell.

LOL!

Advantage of Carbon:
- Lightness, help with loss weight & get fast speed
- Strong & hard, withstand a heavy collision.
- Nice and shining surface, looks cool
- High performance to be as racing part
