Default Looking for winter wheels

Newb here...first post.

We have a 2009 IS250 AWD. This winter, we put a set of snows on the car. It did great; went through anything.

I'm looking to get spare set of wheels to mount the snow tires on. I want to avoid the hassle of mounting/dismounting the tires twice a year.

1) Will IS 300 wheels work? Same dimensions and offset as the IS250 17's? (The snow tires are the same size as the OEM tires)

2) What other Toyota wheels are a direct bolt on? Since these are winter wheels, I'm not looking for anything too crazy.

Anyone? Hoping to get something now, so I can be set when the snow flies.

Why not get another set of the same OE Lexus wheels as the "winters"? Used OE wheels you can probably get for ~$100 per wheel used in good shape.

There is really no "winter wheels" but there are "winter tires". Buy the winter tires and mount them on some used OEM wheels that you can buy from classified wheel/tires section in this forum for like $300-400 a whole set.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I haven't had much finding stock is250 wheels locally (17"). I wanted to see if there were other 17" Toyota wheels that had the same offset and bolt pattern. Is300 wheels seem easier to find. Do those fit out cars?

Can probly buy cheap rim and winter tires off tirerack.com . But even that your probly under $1000. Keep your eyes on Craigslist I've seen a few oem from time to time.

I'm in the exact same situation as you so I'm gonna do what kickin8 said, get some new wheels for my summer tires and keep the oem ones for the winter tires.

Is there a page or thread somewhere that lists what other OEM wheels will fit our cars?

I currently have a set of snows that will fit on OEM 17" wheels. So I'm looking for something to mount the snows on.

I had no idea Costco sold wheels. That's a good tip.
