Default F-Sport intake filter cleaning

Do I use the K&N charger kit to clean and re-lube the filter?

Thanks,

F Sport filter is a dry none lubing filter different from the K&N filters. Just clean and let it dry. I used Dawn dish soap and a garden hose first time then washed with the F Sport cleaning kit there after. I'm sure the K&N cleaner will work just as well just don't spray any lube on it. It takes awhile to dry as well 24+ hrs.

From Install manual:

Air Filter Maintenance
Service Intervals: Service your F-Sport air
filter element with F-Sport's filter cleaning
kit (Lexus p/n PTR03-53085) at the Lexus
recommended service intervals to maintain
optimum performance.
If you live in a region with extremely fine
dust (arid or desert climates for example);
follow the Lexus recommended service
schedule for driving on dirt roads or dusty

Same here, i just soak my F-sport air filter in some dawn for a few minutes then rinsed it really well. The filter does take a long to dry so while it's drying I use the stock paper filter. Sometimes the F-sport air filter takes about 2-4 days to dry, that's with blowing a fan on it to.

I put my filter in the washing machine after cleaning by hand and do a couple 10 min. high speed spin cycles helped cut down on the dry time.

Appreciate the responses. Just did the soap and water with the air dry, don't have the nerve to try the washing machine technique.

What's the interval to clean the filter? Also do I need the fsport cleaning kit? I hope it doesn't take forever to dry as I don't have a stock filter since I sold it with my stock intake.

I just use Dawn and high pressure water to wash it. Next, I soak it in a bucket of water with Dawn for like 30 mins. All the dust actually got out and make the layer of the bucket of water dirty. Then I hand dry filter with tons of papers. Next, I let it dry in a non-dusty area with tons of paper town at the bottom to help absorb the water out. It took me about 2 days to finally dry it out.

I will clean it every 30k miles. Mine wasn't really dirty at 30k miles.

Pretty sure you can go down to your local auto parts store and pick up a regular paper filter for less than $10 to stick in there while you're waiting. The airbox is the same shape, just with an extra hole in the front to draw in more cool air.
