Default Help Fitting Carbon Fiber Roof Spoiler

Hi CL, I bought a carbon roof spoiler but fitment is only 4/5 because it's not quite curved enough to match the glass. If i place the spoiler down I need one person on each side to hold it down in place and then it's fairly flush. Looking for your tips and knowledge to hold down both sides while it sets and the silicone hardens. Trouble is I can't hook things to hold it down and the curvature of the roof makes thinks slide down. I don't want two people standing there holding it for 30 min at least. Thanks for any help.

Using silicone? I think a bunch of us just used outdoor/automotive mounting tape. Its much easier to work with, and a strong bond.

The spoiler came with double sided tape on it and they included a tube of silicone too. But I'm worried about getting the curvature of the spoiler to match the roof better so it doesn't spring off and pull off the window.

The thing is you do not want to use the 3m tape or w/e it comes with, from personal experience the tape it comes with is really thing and won't hold like the 3m acrylics tape from amazon. Just take your time rolling and peeling off the old 3m and reapplying the new tape. I have my gfx and roof spoiler on with tape only for a good 2years soils as rock!

yeah take off the cheap 3M tape and go home depot and buy the outdoor one and really clean the glass and put the new 3M tape all around the spoiler and press it down......Do IT RIGHT OR THAT **** WILL FLY RIGHT OFF ON THE HIGHWAY....
