Someone have the Toyota TechStream?
Hi! I'm new to Club Lexus and this is my first thread/post.
Does anyone in the San Francisco Bay Area have the Toyota Techstream tool to disable the daytime running lights?
I have a 2007 IS350 and absolutely HATE the drls! I'm willing to pay someone $40 to turn off my drls.
I asked my local Lexus dealership and they said that they were not allowed to turn it off because of safety rules or something like that.
Thanks,
Thomas

OP
man I've tried this, I have the cable but the install disc that came with it was broken and i never got a reply to the seller for a copy of the disk. i went to lexus of conchord and they did it for me and washed my car for free. they just want your vin number and have you fill out a paper telling them what custom settings you want for your car. i had my DRL's disabled. i have the mini VCI connector but i don't have the disc that came with it. I've heard you can download the program so that it will work but honestly if your going to go that route you need one of these OS on your computer or a way to emulate them so that it will work.
1) windows xp
2) windows 7 32-bit (i hear it works if your 32-bit regardless of edition of windows 7)
3) windows 7 (professional,enterprise, or ultimate)
4) I've heard people say they can make it work if you have windows 8 32-bit.
seeing as you have a mac I'm not sure on how to create a virtual machine to run windows xp on it. I'd honestly just try calling lexus of conchord and asking if they can do it and then go get it done.
best of luck.

If you have a mac, you can download Winbottler assuming you have the software. It's free.
