Parkig brake to handbrake conversion?

Im sure you can do it if you get all the interior pieces from a manual IS250. I would swap the whole center dash just to be safe from cutting in the shift pattern and just put a shift boot over it to give it that manual car look kinda like how the 3IS has it.
I can imagine it being a much shorter run the footbrake up front as well but gonna have to replace the whole parking brake line all together. Its worth a try if you have the money to do so. I did a rough estimate with new parts from sewell and its looking close to a $2k job for a full swap with handbrake. With skipping some key parts to the center console and just replacing the upper, cutting and mounting a few things here and there you can get away with parts alone under $800 but then again thats IF the handbrake will fit with the shifter, and then also extending wires for the heated seats behind the shifter. Its worth a try IMO

lol nice call, my previous DD was a stick mustang so I'm used to the handbrake being right there. I most likely won't spend the money to do the conversion because honestly if it's going to be that expensive, I'm just going to forget about it haha. Guess I can only lose traction by pushing the car through a turn or keep driving in circles in a parking lot LOL!

I remember reading somewhere about some people just messing around and they removed the locking spring/mechanism from the foot brake so that they could use it to drift. Obviously you wouldn't be able to use it for actual parking though. Anyone have some insight on this? Not looking to do it but sounds interesting lol
