What aftermarket alarm do you guys have?
There's been a rash of wheel and car thefts in Chicago and recently someone broke into my garage and stole my Work VS-XX but luckily it got recovered by police cause the dumbass posted them for sale on Craigslist the next day. Now I've put alarms in my garage and cameras but figured I should get a car alarm too. I've looking for the best alarm while keeping my OEM key fob options and would still like to be able to use the keyless entry and all that. I really just want the alarm to show if my doors are locked, a tilt sensor, remote start, and proximity sensor. Been looking at the Python 594 or Viper 5904. What do you guys have?

I just installed a glass break sensor and a tilt sensor, wired it to the door switch so when the sensor is triggered it tells the car a door is open and the stock alarm is triggered.
I also have lojack, I think all together the alarm cost me under 100 bucks.

I have a viper remote starter with the smart start option hooked up to my iPhone. It utilizes the factory alarm. Also has a tracking device. $550 installed and an additional $75 for the frequency for the year. The beauty of this setup is the unlimited range and the ability to know when the car is running, when a door is opened and where the car is at all times.

Sound interesting. Now for the location of the car, what map is it using? Also, i think we need dataplan on the phone to use this? What apps do you need? I would like more details on this.
