Default Lexus IS250 vs IS350

Hi everyone! I just want to compare these cars ask some questions if anyone can eligthen me.

Lexus IS250:
Engine: 4GR-FSE (2.5L V6 204hp @ 6,400RPM)
Power-Liter Ratio: 81.6(hp/L)
MPG: 20/30
Injection System: D4 (Injectors: ??? cc/min)
Combustion: ???

Lexus IS350:
Engine: 2GR-FSE (3.5L V6 306hp @ 6,400RPM)
Power-Liter Ratio: 87.4(hp/L)
MPG: 18/25
Injection System: D4-S (Injectors: 949/298 cc/min)

The 2.5L engine only has direct injection system while the 3.5L engine has both direct and port fuel injection and I believe this is the main reason for the power-liter ration on both engines but there are a few thing that I just cant find information about.

1) 4GR-FSE's Fuel Injector Capacity (cc/min)
2) Combustion on both engines

I need to know how lean/rich the combustion is on these engines. Does the 250 have a lean combustion? If so, how lean is it? Same goes for the 350. Does the port injection provide a richer combustion generating more power?

If anyone has some information or could verify this, please let me know. Thanks!

The IS350 MPG is underrated. It is only 1-2 lower than the IS250. I get about 19 city and 28 highway.

I also tested both 250 and 350 MPG because i drive them to work on alternative days on the same route and can confirm that the difference is about 1-2 MPG. I think other members can share their experience here as well.

Is350 is much more powerful while sacrificing only a slight amount of mpg. Not worth getting the IS250 imo.

Yeah, like many members say, if you can put in some more money, save it and save it for the IS350. It is just way way more powerful than the IS250 and you can feel it right away. the 350 is so much smoother accelerating plus you don't have the carbon build up issue with the 350. Accelerating at the stop up to 40 is pretty damn smooth and fast, almost as fast as 400 HP car like the ISF.

If you get the 350, you MUST get the F Sport rear sway bar which is like 151% stiffer than stock i think. It makes a day and night in handling especially with high speed corner. The car will be so much more confident and fun to drive.

TO THE OP.. Are you looking for just the engine? or the actual car? engines can be found pretty much anywhere

I can vouch for the slight MPG difference, I just traded in my 06 IS250 with 180K for a 07 IS350 98k miles, MPG was almost the same city and highway miles, i've had my car for a week so my heavy foot is reflecting the low mpg i'm currently getting over all the IS350 gets pretty good MPG being 306hp

I had IS250 and end up getting IS350. they are both nice but IS350 is much better 100hp+ and almost similar fuel economy.

Test drove a 250 and a 350 when I was car shopping. Had no doubts about which one to buy! I love my 350 today just as much as I did when I first got in it
