my original DRL's before I had the feature disabled.

my city lights with DRL disabled with the illegal blue bulbs that I changed quickly

my white city lights with DRL disabled. I like these the best so far. just have to swap out the fog lights.

with DRL feature disabled I can change the city lights to whatever I want, still maintain high beam functionality. win/win imo.

You can see the city light if it dark already . During the daytime you cant see the city light is on cuz too small out put . It wasnt bright as high beam on day time .

I got my lights put in tonight. Didn't get a chance to take pictures but will try tomorrow. I do not like not being able to close the caps on the back of the lights so I think I will pull the decoders apart and see if I can't use some heat shrink on them. I think the LEDs are pretty bright. Now I need to upgrade the factory HID to 6000K.

Your DRLs and your high-beams are the same bulb (a halogen bulb). When your DRLs are on, the bulb is operating at 50% brightness and when your high-beams are on, these same bulbs operate at 100% brightness.

Since DRLs are not operating at 100%, no matter what bulb you get they will always look kinda yellow. A lot of people don't like the yellow/dim color, so they switch.

However, since LEDs can only operate at one constant, you lose your high-beam function.

I think he meant "out" as in he can't switch between DRL and highbeams because they look exactly the same

the most effective way to get rid of the yellow DRL light is to either know someone who has a mini vci cable and the Toyota TIS techstream software on their laptop to disable the DRL feature or get that done at a lexus dealership (some dealerships won't do it because its a safety feature so call beforehand.) if you get the DRL's disabled then you won't lose high beam functionality and you can put whatever 194 style bulb/led in the parking/city lights that you want. in my honest opinion, this is the right way to go about getting rid of the nasty halogen style look and maintaining your high beams. unless you don't really care about having highbeams then the simple switch is to swap out the highbeam bulb and parking lights for the same color led.
