Guys,

Tried searching for an answer to this but couldn't find one. I'm considering buying either the Lexus leather conditioner or leatherique cleaner/conditioner for my IS 350 black leather seats, but I was wondering wouldn't the liquid get into the leather perforations and get stuck in there somewhere, possibly affecting the heating/cooling mechanism?

Maybe its a stupid question but I'd like to be sure I don't cause damage to the seats by using runny chemicals. Perhaps just wiping with a damp cloth is good enough? Any other recommendations out there for maintaining black leather in pristine condition?

It's been only 6 weeks since I bought my IS and it's been a lot of fun. And I'm beginning to get addicted to this forum.

Yes, this is the seminal post on lexus leather and it's care! I have perforated seats with heat/cooling. Whether I'm just wiping down with a damp cloth or doing a fuller clean/condition with Lexol, I always put my cleaner on the cloth first, then wipe. That should avoid getting gunk in the perforations. I haven't yet had any issues with the heating /cooling functionality using this method.
