rear defroster + FM radio = static
My friend's 07 Is250 with navi is having an issue where if you select rear defroster the only the FM receptions becomes static. She has tinted windows but never encountered such problem. Can anyone recommend to fix this problem?

I have seen this before on other cars and it could be a bad ground. Check to make sure one of the defroster connections hasnt been bumped or broken and there is no damage to the grid. I did see once where in the dealership we needed to replace the rear glass of a camry for this (this was on a brand new one after it came of the truck).

i also have this. I bought my car used it is also a 07. The previous owner had the rear windshield replaced under factory warranty and it still happens 
the dealer cleaned the rear windshield for me and it got a bit better. They said it had corrosion?
