I know that 2011-2012 HID with LED headlights are wanted. However, this solution is expensive because it is like $1200 brand new.

I found this flyride LED which looks pretty good and not like the cheap Ebay one that cost $125 or so a pair. Have anyone done this?? If so, how much is the labor of installing this? Is this a good alternative??

Do they go on the outside or the inside of the headlights?

If it is inside the headlights, it would require opening the headlights. The same process as powdercoating the headlights, which requires heating the silicone with a heatgun or in the microwave oven. A shop that specializes in headlight painting should be able to install that easily.

I don't know... Do we have a choice to do it inside or outside?

If outside, how are the wire running? If inside, i imagine we have to remove the headlight, bake them to get the seal off and then install it, install the headlights back to car. How much is the labor here?

Has anyone tried this set up and would like to share some experience?

Most people that installed the LED strips is on the outside of the headlights. I believe a vendor on CL were selling LED strip outside of the headlights and the LED strip would go underneath the gap of the headlights and above the bumper.

But to get that clean look, the LED needs to be inside the headlights. I could imagine labor being over $400+ but that is just my estimate. I would recommend DIY.
