would you consider a 2007 is350 with carfax showing 3 owners and car only has 34k miles?
avoid completely or consider if the price is right? car is local and is what im looking for minus the nav

If the price was right why would you pass? Low miles could mean it was a weekend car which has a higher chance of it being better taken care of.

Looks ok to me. First owner lease it and returned it cause he might of not liked it. Look to be same with the next two owners. If the price is rite and everything checks out go for it. Make sure it's up on a lift so can check the under panel for any damage. Maybe take it to a mechanic to have checked out before buying.

That's 5,600 miles a year or 466 miles a month! That does make me suspicious though.

the car fax report looks pretty clean. i dont really see why most would pass on it. to me that says the car was baby'd and it hasnt really been owned by many. if the price is right i dont see why not.

but i would definitely get it looked over to be sure what maintenance was done/potentially needed. but then again thats any car

Car fax looks pretty clean IMO. I think with carfax, Owner changes when title changes hands or names. When My mom and I bought my sister her first car, we put it in my name to get it out of the dealership. A year down the line, we had to switch it over to her name. Car fax reported it as 2 owners when it was really just one owner. That could have happened. Owner could have signed the car over tohis wife and/or son/daughter, or maybe even lost in a divorce to an ex.

I wouldn't worry too much about owners. Worry more about how clean, and decent running the car is

I would pass up on this car. Especially since there are many cars available to pick from. Do you want to be this this situation when you are selling the car later on?
Also, there is something strange about this car! I been offer for sale since 8/22/13 ( unless their price is too high).

I am the fourth owner of my 07 IS350. It had 47k when I bought it last summer (up to 65k now with no issues other than a head light). Clean carfax (which doesnt mean much these days honestly). I checked the service records for the car and everything was fine, regular maintenance and recalls all done at the dealer. I went over every square inch of the body and confirmed there was never any body work done. Had the dealer throw it on a lift to check the under side.

If you know what you are looking for I wouldnt worry much about the number of owners, short of it being owned by a rental company or being used as a loaner by a dealer in its early years.

Yea its a hard choice, low miles and color I want plus a big bonus is that it's local and woukd save me alot of time and some hassle traveling, especially since I just started new job and can'treally take off from work. But yea I'm not sure why the car has been up for sale so long.. The price is not really that high, they are asking $19.5k which is pretty reasonable to ask. I was thinking about getting it checked out by mechanic or two lol and if everything is OK offer them 18k out the door price, 18.5k would prolly be the highest I go on this one.. Decisions decisions...

When I purchase my low mileage (<31k miles) '06 IS350 back in April '11, I was the third owner. I didn't care, as the Lexus service history was all there and the CarFax was fine, plus for the price I paid I couldn't pass it up.

mine was a 2010 with 1 owner and it had 35xxx miles, as long as the price is right, the dealership is cool with a warranty, and you like the car nothing should be keeping you from not getting it. My only thing was i shoulda drove the is350 before getting a is250, too slow!!!!!!!
