Default New IS350 owner with a stupid question

I just picked up a 2006 IS350 and am trying to figure out the interior lighting setup and how it works with the wireless key. I have a "door" button and a "on/off" button. Im trying to figure out how to get it to work where the lights come on as I approach a locked car. The manual says the door on/off button has to be on. Does that mean the door button has to be pushed in as well as the on/off button to the right of the door button?

Thanks for your help.

"Door" -> On

"On/Off" -> Off

I've got my IS350 setup so that as I approach the car, it turns on in the presence of the key fob.

OK, I tried like UniSlayEX suggested & my puddle lights come on as I approach the car but the interior lights dont come on. Also, when I open the door the interior lights still dont come on. If I turn the "door" switch off, the interior lights work with the door switch. Am I missing something?

OK, I figured it out. What I thought was the "on" position for the door switch was actually the "off" position.
