Default Ipod kit on 09 IS350 w Nav & Sat

So I bought this off a CL member PT 545-0082-ck

Went through the trouble of tearing my radio out to find that it plays my iPod on top of sat radio advertisements (I don't subscribe to Sat radio).

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks.

Looked up that part number and found this note in the manual. Does this help?

Note: Requires audio head unit to be satellite ready. Premimum Audio(JBL)has embedded XM and conflicts with the iPOD Interface. Some base grade audio are not satellite ready. Either iPOD or Sat Radio can be installed, not both.

I have a 2008 IS250 with Nav and Sat. The sat receiver is in the trunk, I have it hooked up to a switch, which in turn cuts the power to the unit when not in use. It is a simple toggle switch connected to the power. You have to go into the trunk to turn on/off but it does allow me to have both hooked up at the same time. You would ultimately think Lexus would have figured this out back then.....

So is there a way to turn off the sat radio so I can use the iPod interface?
