Thanks KQ for all your information! Am I right in assuming that I have to install this on the back of the car stereo? Meaning I would have to get under the dash and what not or pay someone else to do it. I would like to avoid that if at all possible. If that is the case then I might look into something like the Belkin that just plugs into the AUX port and the phone charger.

Here is the solution I use.

Amazon.com: Griffin Technology BlueTrip AUX for iPhone and Smartphones: Cell Phones & Accessories Amazon.com: Griffin Technology BlueTrip AUX for iPhone and Smartphones: Cell Phones & Accessories

I was able to pick this up for around $50 last year and I'm sure if you look enough you will find a good deal on it.
What I like about it is that it plugs into the car power port underneath the armrest and the 3.5mm audio jack enters the aux port. It is nice and compact and hardly takes up any room. Another plus is that it automatically connects to my iPhone when I turn on my car. If you car's radio is in aux mode on start up, and your phone is playing music, it will automatically switch to your cars stereo system. Although having an integrated solution is better for skipping songs right from the steering wheel, this is much simpler and easier to set up. And you can of course change the volume from the steering wheel.

You need to pull the stock radio out, as the unit plugs into the CD port in the back of the radio. It's not as hard as it sounds, but if you're not comfortable doing it, then I'm sure there are other options
