IS 350 window lock switch not illuminated?
Hi all,
I purchased a 2012 IS 350 recently and noticed that the window lock switch (on the driver's side) is not illuminated. It's hard to believe that it wouldn't be, as it's impossible to see at night and all the other switches on the driver's door are illuminated. Should I get this checked at the dealership?
Any info would be appreciated. Thx.

This was one of my first surprises with my car as well! Couldn't believe a fully, fully loaded car wouldn't have these illuminated! And mine is a 2008 ... Can't believe they still haven't illuminated them!

Thanks Jeff & Sfrt,
I'm curious what led to this design decision.
So to clarify, the switch is *completely* invisible at night? Not even the red border around the switch when it's in the 'raised' position is illuminated?

It is not illuminated, but you can tell whether its on by looking at the other (e.g. passenger) window switches.
If the lock is enabled, the pasenger's switch will turn off. If the lock is disabled, the passenger switch stays on.
I only know this because i soldered in new white LEDs for the window switches, so it became much more obvious.
