I was curious to see if I could put an 06-08 bumper onto my 09 IS or if anyone has done this? I wanted to get the ings front lip and the 09 rep just doesn't look as nice to me as the 06-08 does. So if anyone has done this please lmk and also if there's anything changes you have to do to fit it? Thank you!

I've seen 09-10 cars with earlier bumpers on carsale websites... presumably they've been in a crash and the owner has been a bit cheap sourcing parts.

Do you know if the installation is the same as the 09-10? Or do you have to do any certain modifications to fit it?

u will need grille and grille surround for sure (maybe lower grille too)

fogs should be the same

not sure about brackets

I've gone from an '06 bumper to an 09' bumper. I'm sure you can do the opposite. Need both grilles and grille surround. Fogs are same, but the fog light covers are different. Fender lining holes do not line up, so either you get different fender liners, or drill new holes in your fender liners to attach the fasteners. I think that's all, from the top of my head. Might be missing something, but not too sure.
