Default Basic Tuning Methods?

Any of you guys using anything to do basic tunes on your 2IS? Trying to prototype a new cold air intake and we keep getting a CEL from the MAF. Even after measuring with a micrometer, can't seem to get it to stay off. Anyone out there had any success with something basic like a S-AFC or..?

I know one guy on here who did the twin turbo IS, he kept on getting a CEL from the maf when he was making his charge pipe. When he pretty much welded it back close to its stock location, the CEL went away. Try that

Are you referring to welding the MAF sensor at the same place on the pipe that the stock or F-Sport intake is welded?

yes, get it as close to stock location as possible. I think the Fsport intake is the same spot as the OEM intake

Thanks NY.

I think I am going to get an AFC still though. Does anyone out there know the best place to pick one up that is compatible with our cars..?

There isn't a piggyback setup compatible (off-the-shelf) with the 2IS; you will have to modify it to work. So get a universal one.

FYI, the ecu will self-adjust for the inputs you set within the piggyback.

Thanks. Any recommendations on a simple and basic one that will get the job done?
