So made my own last night after a couple hours of research decided to try out the homemade one and if it works I might keep it and just do a bigger container or go with one of those from ebay or amazon but I really like how this turned out using a Husky air compressor filter which is great because the oil goes in but not back out because of the filter it has... Will see how much oil it catches after about of week of regular driving...

That thing will probably fill up in no time, like within 1000 kms. My Subaru has the same catch can you linked and it would be full around 2500 kms, but it's turboed so that might have something to do with it. I haven't drive the IS enough to register anything yet. Probably only put in 500 kms since I installed it.

Just from today I noticed there was a couple drips but def works so after a week I will look at it again, yeah thats why I set it up that way to easily remove and drain since its a small container, but Husky does make a bigger container and will think on relocating to a better spot much later on

It's not going to do much if your not sending the oil back to the pan.

So how do these eBay ones work if there's no filter? Doesnt the oil vapor just go in and come right out?
