I drilled out the top of the outlet part of the OCC and added my own filter I found at ace not even sure what it went to just knew it was the smallest I could find and added a longer brass tube to the inlet so the oil goes all the way to the bottom...

Read today that late 2010 models onwards dont suffer carbon build up as badly. Would you guys still install it anyway?

Mine is oct 2010 w 50,000kms

So would you say that the 2010 still suffers from the Carbon Build-up? If it still suffers from a build up, would you install a OCC?

If the install is proven to lessen the chance of it happening, I would do it. At the very least BEFORE your warranty expires.

No because they are both the same, but if you do the changes like I did then yes

Not trying to crash the party but after reading this & what it does I see very little benefit to it. Most of my engines have gone close to half a million miles without this. Is this due to a specific engine that needs it? Most of the time a piston/ valve/ has gone out due to wear than anything.
Thanks in advance.

hey guys, new to this forum and this topic. Recently acquired an 07 IS250 81500k miles.

There is no record of this recall being done on my car. since this is such a cheap preventative measure, should I do it just to be safe?

I dont have any of the symptoms other members have experienced.

thanks for your thoughts!

I don't know if I'm doing this now! I live in nyc and it gets really cold here during winter months. I read horror stories about the catch can freezing up! No bueno!
