Default Anyone have "shaved" Wald (or replica) spoiler without being molded?

Just curious if anyone have the spoiler shaved and just using 3m double sided tape to attach to trunk. I'm trying not to have the trunk repainted.

^ I think op is asking if anyones modified the fake or real Wald trunk spoiler (shaved sides / make perfect fitment) and installed it with 3m tape, no mold

How do you shave the side of the spoiler without it looking funky?

Molded or not the replica fit and finish looks horrible. I've seen several in person. Looks like cottage cheese.

It looks much cooler when it's molded. I molded mine myself and just vinyl wrapped over it. Been like that for close to a year without a problem.

Care to explain how the finish and fit looks horrible?

No need to explain when I can just provide a picture of how bad they fit and how wavy the finish is. I have seen several in person and they all look exactly like this one. Huge gap between bottom of the fake Wald and the tails, extremely wavy finish that you can see without even being close to the car, doesn't even sit flush against the trunk. A good body shop might be able to make it look better after you spend more than you would just buying the real Wald to begin with.

And this is why we dont normally support replica products... For a second there I thought we were building 240's or civics...
