New Shoes Need Rubber
Ok guys, got my non-modified 2010 Lexus IS250 Sedan RWD today! Hold your applause.
I also ordered the staggered Hyper Black LFA replica wheels off ebay.
Offset:
38 f / 40 r
Rim Diameter:
19
Rim Width:
8.5 Front & 9.5 Rear
The seller said he would sell me the following tires for the price listed.
225/35ZR19 88Y ACCELERA PHI'XL'HWY
255/35ZR19 96Y ACCELERA PHI'XL'HWY $580 Mounted/Balanced/Shipped
I plan on lowering my car 2" all around with Road Magnet springs. My question is, will these tires fit? Also I found the same tires on ebay for only $469.50. If they are the right tires. Should I just order them on ebay and save the money? Has anyone ordered tires off ebay? I see some people on here with the same wheels running a different tire size. I don't want a really aggressive wheel sticking out look.
I'm lost when it comes to tires so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can go wider with those offsets. When I used to run 19s, I was using F: 235/35/19, and R: 275/30/19. Your tire widths may actually stretch just a little bit on those wheel widths.
As for the price (using Tirerack as only an example), you're looking at $26 to mount and balance, plus $3.25 disposal fee, and $3.00 TPMS service per wheel. So that comes out to $32.25 per tire x 4 = $129.
If you buy them on Ebay for $469.50 + $129 Installation = $598.50. You'll be spending a little more, but if you can get the seller to give you lugnuts to go along with the wheels, it may just be worth it to buy it from them.
As for the tires (I know you'll get some slack on here for them), they're a Indonesian brand that's along the lines of Achilles. The Accelera Phis are All-Seasons that don't perform as well as Summer High Performance tires (like Hankook V12s). They do have long wear times, but due to the hard compound, may provide less stability in the rain and snow. Good for around town, but I won't go on track days or really spirited driving in canyons.

Here's what I got from the Hankooks at tirerack:
235/35ZR19 XL Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 Blackwall
In Stock
$177.00 $354.00
275/30ZR19 XL Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 Blackwall
In Stock
$207.00 $414.00
Estimated Total:
$61.45
$829.45
Is it worth the extra $$. I won't be on the track or in any canyons. What about the Sumitomo HTR Z III Max Performance Summer? Will those work for getting around town? I can get those for $641.71.

Mine had 255/35/19 on the back when I bought it - I replaced with new potenzas in a wider 275/30/19.
Judging by the added weight and mine being a f-sport modded 350, I'd advise against wider. They're perfect for me as it took care of smoking the tires if I punched it at any lower speed (20-40mph). I would think it'll just slow down a 250 and hurt your gas mileage...

I'm running 19x8.5 +32 in the front 19x10 +38 rear 235/35 and 275/30 ZR Michelin Pilot super sports with BC BR coilovers and Megan upper control arms front and Megan camber arms rear. The front rubbed on the inner fender liner so out came the heat gun. It still rubs just a touch in one spot at a certain spot when turning, need to get the heat gun out again. The rears rubbed a bit on the fender once when I had a bunch of stuff in the trunk so I gave it some - camber in the rear and no more rubbing. The tires with these offsets are maybe a little meaty but I don't think I am going to have to roll or pull. I'm not slammed and just wanted to get rid of the gap.
