Default 3IS F-sport seats in a 2IS? Same fitment?

Simple question, though we might not have the answer...yet. Do the better bolstered 3IS seats fit into a 2IS? Meaning, the same fitment in both models? I would LOVE to get my hands on a set of 3IS front seats for my 2IS with the way I drive!

I think is300 shares same floor bracket as 2IS? So maybe 3IS same still?

Regardless, it could be retrofitted, but with a cost.

I'm not sure on this either but I have a source with a few sets of 3g IS seats in stock ready to ship. I contemplated the swap but in the end I'm content with my boring 2g IS seats for now. It would be worth trying if you don't mind spending the money with the potential to invest more or resell if they involve too much effort.

I'm really hoping for a smooth bolt-in affair; but an added plus would be if the electronics are still are the same/ connectors are the same. But mainly curious about the seat fitment to the floor.

So are you willing to be the guinea pig for this potential 2IS mod Gville?

Isn't interior space larger in the 3IS? Not sure if that would have an impact on seat compatibility.

If I had any local 3IS friends to call on, I would; but to drop $$$ on new seats right now is out of the question. Just one of those MANY upgrades to think about doing down the road...along with that LSD!

^Now that's a GREAT idea; but I have to wait until the next recall comes out for the 2IS. LOL!

why not just go to the dealer and measure one anyway or just take a test drive. I went looking at door jams for paint codes one time.

The 2is seats are the most unconformable seats in any car i've been. I had a 3IS loaner and those seats are unbelievable good. Very curious if one of the members can figure that out
