Can't switch to auxiliary on 06 is350
Posted in the car audio section but didn't get any feedback, hoping someone in here can help.
I bought a used IS350 from a ford dealer a few days ago. The auxiliary input isn't there, and instead has been switched to an ipod connector. I don't own an ipod so I picked up an iPod to bluetooth adapter to use, but when I press the CD/AUX button, it stays on CD. I borrowed an iPod wrist watch thing from a friend, started playing music on it, still can't switch to auxiliary. The cord is plugged in since it provided power to the bluetooth adapter and the watch. Anyone know what to do?

The car probably has one of those after market iPod thing installed. They use the CD interface to control the iPod that might be affecting how it's working. Like this Grom unit:

Yeah that's what I figured. I saw youtube videos where they'd switch over to the CD player and play music through the ipod adapter using that instead, but I tried everything and nothing works. I'll go ahead and just take it to a friends audio shop, he owns the same car and should be familiar with it, it's just that it's an hour drive so I was trying to find a way around it.
