Default Headlight Shopping List

Apologies if this has been answered now but I can only find guides relating to the Sewell package. If I were to buy Headlights 2011-2012 for my 2007, what and all do I need to make sure I have? I have AFS lights so I heard I need to turn that off first or I will have a light warning. Beyond that, what should my shopping list be?

Much appreciated and if this turns out well I'd be glad to list all of the options in this post for future reference.(If one is not created already)

I would try contacting Sewell directly.. they should be able to help you out.. Do they list it as plug and play or?! normally when they sell a kit of such sorts it comes with everything you'll need..

Well that's partially what I'm curious about. As I would rather find some used lights than pay full price for new ones. If its relatively easy anyway. I don't so much mind the look of 07, but mine are starting to turn yellow for some reason very frequently. I clean, then they are good for a month or 2, then i have to scrub them down again. Really annoying. Plus I kind of like the look of the '12.

Just a fyi and you probably know this already but the new brackets are optional. You can always cut your OEM brackets to make the new HLs fit. Save yourself a few bucks this way

I picked up my set used for cheap on ebay - you can simply rewire them to be like sewells and purchase all the other parts you mentioned.

If you purchase the harness do you still need to make modifications to your OEM plugs?

yes, the harness connects the LED's and turn signal to the main harness connector (attached to the headlight). It's the wires on the main harness that you have to replug.

Is there a guide somewhere for this already that I can look at and link to?

I used this guide: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...tallation.html

But I didn't do it as thoroughly as he did - I just did the plug and play method. If you're electronically minded you can easily make a relay so that it works like OEM but that was a bit out of my skill set :c

If you just use the '11-'13 harness that comes with lights what exactly will happen?

I think your HIDs will light up but nothing from the LEDs
