Default Rear Emblems Removed - How to Fill Holes?

Hey CL,

I removed my emblems on the back of my IS250 (The "Lexus" and "IS250" at the left and right bottom corners of the trunk), and there are four 3mm holes which I want to fill.

Having searched on this forum, the only non-permanent solution seemed to be bumper plugs. However, I went to Napa auto parts today and they didn't have any plugs that small. I also tried several other hardware/car shops, with the same results.

I am wondering if anyone here has some good ideas as to how I can solve this problem. I would strongly prefer a reversible solution (ex. bumper plugs) but I am open to non-reversible solutions as well, if need be. Thank you in advance!

I think some ppl just used vinyl wrap to cover the holes and used touch up paint to color match.

So they just glued the vinyl wrap onto the holes to cover them? That seems kind of sketchy (might fall off) IMO.

What about permanent solutions?

I found some small plugs in Lowes. They had several sizes in black and white.

Vinyl wrap is fine. I did this and its held on for a few months with no problem. You can't even notice its there unless you stare from like 1-2 ft away and specifically look for it.

User a holy puncher to get the right size (pretty small), then tweezers to set it in place after painting it with touch up paint. GL

@Reyo - I think there are 2 behind the Lexus badge

I used the liquid steel putty. I put it in the holes, sliced it flat with the trunk lid with a plastic razor blade. When it dried, I used a touch up pen to color it. Worked perfect.

I personally would do it one and do it right. Fill and repaint trunk. If you need to go back to stock for whatever reason, you can snip the back clips from the emblems and just reapply slim 3m tape.

I used clear silicone. When you fill it with silicone, make it concave so when you put touch up paint, its flush with the trunk. Can't even tell its there unless I get up close to about 6" then I can see it.
