Whats up CL!
I am a proud owner of a Starfire Pearl 2010 IS 350 w/ everything but the ML system. I have a lot to learn and look forward to the wealth of knowledge from the members on this board.
Some of the cars I've owned in the past few years:
2001 M5 Beast - just sold
2003 350z - loved this car and kept it for 8 years
2000 Corvette C5
My wife has a 2012 Mazdaspeed3 which is quick, but the FWD kills it IMO.
All of my cars were modded, however I told myself I was going to leave this one alone for awhile (yeah heard that before). I have been reading the "sticky" posts for newbies etc.
I was looking for a "First Mod" type post but it turned too many results. On my other cars I did the usual, wheels tires, coil overs, exhaust. I'm not ready to drop that kind of cash just yet, but any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.
So far its been a week and I love this car and will find any excuse to take it for a ride.

Welcome! Post a pic.
I traded a 370Z for my car. I loved it, but I had gotten too plain of a model and the thing was just darned hard for me to see out of. I'm loving my IS 'vert. Sporty enough, but not so sporty that it is hard to have for a DD.

^Though I miss having a stick to throw around, I also LOVE my IS350. You can do some SERIOUSLY cheap visual upgrades that won't break the bank :
*HID fogs
*LED puddle lamps, LED interior lamps, LED reverse lamps
*Upper rear window spoiler, rear deck spoiler
*Tint
*Detailing
Welcome, and don't be afraid of the search function; it works well.

The C5 Z51 has lots of power, no doubt about it, however I felt like I was driving a camaro with a corvette shell, at that time and the car only had 12k miles on it. The fit and finish was terrible and I couldn't take the rattles anymore. I actually sold that and bought a lexus es300 cash since I got laid off at that time and needed to jump into something quick. Then I got the mustang, dropped it, full exhaust and 3:73 gears and had to sell it since my commute was terrible. This gave me justification for the old lady to get the Z in 2003 brand new and it fit me like a glove, you could beat the **** out of that car and it wouldn't phase it. It was the first year it came out and couldn't go anywhere with out it being a conversation piece. I put 120k miles on that car with just a few minor problems and usual wear. The M5 was a sick car, 400hp 6 speed, but I was just over using a 1/4 tank of gas if I just got on it a little bit. It was getting up there in miles as well, so I wanted to get rid of it while I could still get my money back. It was time to update the outdated cars with some new tech. Oh I slipped in a pic of my 2003 GSXR 1000 (please no comments about the helmet, i know about riding with gear etc.) my 2000 Mustang GT vert.and 2012 Speed that my wife drives.
Thanks everyone, i will post a pic up of the IS350 soon and try to keep the dumb questions to a minimum.
I think my first mod is going to be coilovers, but I don't want to compromise ride quality ( The streets are cobblestone where I live downtown) and I love the way the IS rides right now.
Here are some pics, some before mods etc of past cars in no particular order its 6am now so its about time to get on the grind....

Thanks!
Here is crappy pic of the IS350. I was actually going to buy the 250 black on black but they just sold it and once they showed me the pearl and the difference in power there was no question. This is my first white car, I have always had silver, black cars. The vette was the exception, must of been going through a mid life crisis at 26 lol. Not hating on red, but it screams "give me a ticket" no matter what, especially if you are a younger driver. This is also my 2nd automatic car, with the first being the es300. The paddle shifters make it a little more interesting to drive, but I'm wondering why they didn't add rev matching while downshifting.
I'm going to do some searching to see if anyone has found some coilovers that dont compromise ride quality too much, this car sits way to high from what im used too.

Forgot the pic of the Mustang. I also had a 93 GT silver 5sp, I used to drag race at the local track here, back then running low 13s was pretty good for just a couple grand investment. I don't think I have a pic of that car.
