I read the manual last night. You can try drop a bunch of water to the door handle. It will act like emergency. The door may open up by itself. Like someone trap in the car while it in the water. Hope it helps.

That was what a slew of Honda owners complained happened during Hurricane Sandy--all the rain opened their windows, even though the car wasn't in flood waters..

I assume it does that as long as you have your remote in your pocket and you are in the close proximity or you are in the car as the handle sensor feel the water as "your hand" . I doubt they will sell those cars if they will open in the parking lot without you near to them with the remote control. Imagine what a huge liability will be on them if it was so easy to open a Lexus

Yup. Stand by your car with the keys in your pocket and spray water on the handle and it'll unlock. It's pretty annoying when washing the car and the car locks/unlocks itself every 5 seconds lol.

That's kind of odd- don't you think- old sport?
Also the batteries for this fob are not common. They take 1632's...I can't just walk into my local wal mart or drugstore and get one....hence why I put it off that long.

No what is crazy is that a Luxury car company like Lexus that prides itself on customer service doesn't offer any remote unlock service like OnStar.

Yeah the 1632s are not common for whatever reason, at least where I live. I had to order them from eBay.
I don't know why Lexus doesn't offer OnStar. There could be tons of reasons why. Maybe it's too expensive to integrate into the system? Maybe their customer base doesn't have a high enough demand for a remote unlock service? Who knows.

Call a proper lock smith. They an use an air bag to park the top corner of your door and then stick in a bent metal rod to physically pull open the door lever. Not sure if thats what they already tried on your car, but thats the only way to do it, you can't slim jim a modern car.
