I use to drive a 05 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Supercharged. Going from that to the IS350 feels like a go-cart. 😉😎

lol; never heard that one before.

It would be interesting to see what kind of damage was done to the wiring harness if you do get it back as well.

From what we could see is where the fuse for the starter is to have an sideways S, that was sodered together by the prevous owner and it was pointed out to the dealership where we got the car. That is all we could see. A Toyota dealership is doing the work and should have the car back either today or tomorrow. I called and asked for them to keep the old parts and post pictures of what the damage looked like.

So we got the IS350 back and this is what needed to be replaced. We found out the car is still under factory warranty but being someone had "fixed" the fuse block it was voided. All codes cleared, car got a bath and drives like she was brand new. Major THANK YOU to our local Toyota dealership.

So they soldered two electrical points together. I wonder what they were trying to accomplish doing that?

^Does the NAV screen itself have any issues? I currently have a non-functional NAV screen and button issue. I have no use of my HVAC controls nor anything associated with the NAV unit itself. I might have a blown NAV screen motherboard.

Bummer!! Yes the NAV screen and buttons work. Everything works but the buttons steering wheel and all around the NAV do not light up. I can push the buttons to switch from climate to audio etc but I cannot tell what each button is at night.

Well if that is the only problem you have, count your blessings. LOL! I cannot turn on auto-circulate any longer; I have to suck in everyone's exhaust fumes. Grrrrrr!

Did the buttons light up after you got the car back? Perhaps it's just a blown fuse; GL on the hunt!

Check in ebay for parts. Search for a wrecked IS as yours. The lights worked prior to the car going into the Toyota.

There is a little **** on the left side of the steering wheel, but off the steering wheel, that controls the brightness of the button lights; not sure if it can be completely turned off or not.
