That's too much. All they have to do is dismount the tire replace sensor, mount the tire and balance it. It cost me $30 to do it all.

Well you can buy a used sensor here in the classifieds, I actually saw some for sale recently. It will definitely be cheaper that way.

you can buy a used single TPMS sensor from ebay for ~$25.

Do you mean that price includes a brand new sensor or it's 100 to install one you already have?

I am in the same boat.

I don't understand why anyone would buy a used TPMS sensor. It will end up just having to be replaced again in a few years?? or am I missing something here?

I am up in Canada and they want to charge me $100 for a sensor installed as well.

If you're looking for the alternative method to this, check your tire pressure weekly until it really bothers you. Or...

Do you have a Discount Tire Co. store near you? If so, I would take your vehicle there as it would be less expensive and will be a one stop for you. Buy the sensor, let them install, configure and drive off. You would be looking around $60- $75 installed. FYI, no sensors come with a warranty and if you were to get a used set, be sure to use a TPMS scan tool(bring it to a dealer or DTC) to determine the battery life. Cheers!

This has been such a head ace its unbelievable, I went online and bought one sensor for my tire. I ended up getting a non OEM sensor which was unable to be programmed to the computer for lexus to detect it... I went to a shop called lex-tech and they were extremely nice and let me watch them do everything but they were unable to program the sensor since it was not a lexus part. So then i went to lexus and they said they wouldn't even touch it if it was not a lexus part... So now I have to find an OEM lexus tpms sensor thats new/used somewhere... I dont even know where to start looking.. And lex tech wanted to buy and install a lexus sensor for $100.

Sewell parts sells them for less than $60 + shipping with Club Lexus discount.

I just had a sensor replaced at Pep Boys. They charged me $70 for the sensor and $20 for labor. Light on the dash is off and a $200 savings over what the dealer wanted.

How can you determine which tire has the defective sensor? 2013 RX350.

I we cannot determine it ourselves, with DTC be able to?
