Default Just bought an IS350! Have a tire pressure sensor question!

Hey guys!

I've been in the car community for a long time, owned a few lexus in addition to my supra, but this is my first IS350! I love this car!!!! I just picked up Sunday, and i've got a question that I couldn't answer through searching.

The car I think* has 2010 wheels on it, but doesn't have any tire pressure sensors. I went a head and order the sensor for the year of this car (2006). Do you guys know if these sensors will work correctly in these wheels? I probably should have asked his before I ordered them lol. Do I need to take it to a dealer to get them programmed if so? Thanks guys

I don't think those are 2010 350 wheels. In fact, I don't think they are IS OEM wheels. Looks good though!

most tire places have the tool to do it. If you are getting tires, they usually program for free. Even if they charge, got to be cheaper than the dealership in any case.

Thanks for the reply guys! I did find a couple pictures here that made me think they were OEM wheels. So the size of the sensor you don't think change from 2006 to 2012?

Congrats on your first IS350. Those wheels look like they're OEM from the non F-Sport 2011-2013.

If you don't want to go to all the trouble of fitting all the wheels with the sensors, you can fab up a "pipe bomb" instead :

Those wheels are the same ones that came on my 2012 IS 350 AWD. They're OEM.

They came on 2011-13 IS250 and IS350 models that came with 17-inch wheels (base RWD models and all AWD models). The sensors are the same for all 2IS models, so they will fit and work fine in these ones.

+1 I replaced my TPMS and went to America's Tire and they programmed it for free for me even though I didn't purchase anything from them.

Interesting. I thought only lexus dealer have the actual computer to program lexus tire sensor? Few shop tried to reprogram and none were able to program it.

I was there for 5 minutes if not less. I just popped in and they told me to drive into the shop right away. They took some sort of scanner, walked around and read every sensors frequency then just plugged it into the plug under the steering wheel and there you have it. I've been driving for about 2 weeks now and not warning level has popped up yet.
