Default Headlight defect/Dealer issue.

I took my car to Lexus of Orange park today to get the wiper recall done and fix some rattles. I also brought up getting my headlights documented and the service advisor is trying to tell me that Lexus won't pay for the fix. And that a TSIB is just saying whats wrong. I know this is wrong and basically ended up in an argument with the lady. Looks like I'll be calling corporate. Has this happened to anyone else?

If she's implying that a TSIB is only for informational purposes and won't cover the cost to replace/fix the issue in the TSIB, given you're under warranty then she is wrong.

Call the service manager/director before u call corporate.

prolly bubble on the inside of the headlight....everyone hates it when you demand service so act nice first and if all else fail then demand service.

Sorry I never got to update this. She was trying to say its just telling you there may be a problem and that if I wanted it fixed. Ended up calling cooperate and they handled it. I noticed after I came back that the ended up taking an inch of paint (down the the metal) off the wiper arm while doing the recall. So I have to go back for them to fix that. And yeah the original issue I took it in for was the paint bubbling on the headlights.

I had the issue with the bubbles in the headlights and I took my 2011 is250 into lexus of Orlando last week. After an inspection of the lights by a tech, I was told to take a loaner for a few days while my head lights where being replaced. After a few days I got my car back with all new headlights. I did let the tech know that I was going on a road trip to new York with the car and that the bubbles was a safety concern for me.

have the same issue on mines, pointed it out to my service rep. he said this is a known problem but according to Lexus headquarters, the dealership has to take pics of the damage in the headlights and send them to corporate. Lexus will make the decision on whether or not to be eligible for replacement, which is a stupid. but anyways, my rep emailed me back and got approved for the replacement, so parts are ordered and he will call me once they're in.
