I don't live in the US, but I would assume that it would pass no problem since the resonator only affects sound. You could run into issues if you removed the cats since those deal with emissions, but a res delete, you should be fine.

Thumbs up

Thanks man it really helps a lot, looking for a louder sound and the res delete with the M2 exhaust sounds godly.

I'm not sure about NJ, but in CA, emission inspection is one thing.

I would check with NJ DMV for something similiar

Just FYI...

"CA. V.C. 27151 No person shall modify the exhaust system of a motor vehicle in a manner which will amplify or increase the noise emitted by the motor of such vehicle so that the vehicle is not in compliance with the provisions of Section 27150 or exceeds the noise limits established for the type of vehicle in Article 2.5(commencing with Section 27200) of this chapter. No person shall operate a motor vehicle with an exhaust system so modified."

"(1) Sound Level Limit. The exhaust noise shall not exceed 95 dB(A)."

Well, of course they'll have statues on this in most if not all states. But the only thing they look for is whether or not you have catalytic convertors. Depending on where you go, they might not even do that visual check. I've passed my fully catless WRX many years because there was no CEL.
