IS-F Motor & Tranny Swap into ISx50! The real deal
#109
Just added fluids and hooked the MAF back in. For the most part, everything is back in and ready to go. Hooked her up to TechStream and sure enough without the proper VIN Seed on the engine ECM theres limited communication just as Toyota designed their system. I will be getting my VIN seeded to the F engine ecm hopefully next week!
Anyway, from what I was able to see everything else is talking and one DTC is present: C1249- ABS, stop light switch circuit open
I am using my stock IS350 stoplamp switch where the ISF switch is different. Aside from checking the relays (350 vs F), I didn't look much into the differences as it seemed so trivial at the time....Now it looks like I'm going to need to research where I went wrong.
I will update with pics of my latest buttoning up ASAP!

LOL
I just ordered the F stop lamp switch...don't know why I didn't in the first place when I knew it was different and had to swap out the connectors.
I'm a bit afraid the MC or ABS block may need to be from the ISF as well. Its too early to tell as I need to get the thing running to find out all the communication errors or fault codes.

I crossed a wire on the Stoplamp switch! I will see what happens when I wire it correctly because based on all the TIS circuit schematics I should be able to use the IS350 switch. Worst worst case is I need the ISF switch (which I already ordered) AND one additional relay. More on this later...
Excuse the mess around the car...I was bleeding my brakes and doing some other final things. Oh and the intake will be a full one piece welded and powdercoated once the car is back on the road.
Stock engine bay covers will fit since I kept all of the stock sheet metal.

Talk about unable to commit.. Unless I undergo a life change in the next few weeks I am putting the complete setup for sale in the Classifieds. I'm sorry guys, I have just lost all motivation with cars as my time is consumed with work and family.
The swap is 99% complete aside from a tow to Lexus to have my VIN seeded onto the ISF engine ecm. I jumpstarted the motor a few days ago using an old trick with the help of my Dad and starter fluid....it purrs like a vicious beast!
Sad to say its the end of the road for me and this hobby for a while. Thanks to everyone who sent words of encouragement or questions that helped further our knowledge. //
Complete setup FS.
