Hello everyone! I figured I would join the forums so I could start doing some research

My name is Billie and I currently have an '06 Subaru Legacy GT SpecB. I have had it for 7 years and I have done a lot to it. It has a built bottom end (not really bottom since it is flat lol), upgraded turbo and other bits and pieces under the hood. It's on BC coils and Cosmis Racing wheels. Here are a few pics

My husband is also a member on here.....he is quiet though. We are part of the Virginia Beach Insane Stance & Offset chapter. We also have a fully built '08 STI, '93 Soarer GT-T and '01 RSTI

Why am I here? I am in the process of buying a stock '08 IS250....it should be here in 2 weeks. I haven't seen it in person yet so if everything looks good I'll be getting it

I am very sad that I am going to be selling my car because it is my second child, but I'd like something a little newer, less miles, more comfy and less of a cop magnet. I'll surely miss having power, but I'll have less chances of getting tickets haha.

When I finally sell my car I will be putting the IS on air and getting some wheels hopefully with a nice lip.

I love to wh0re out pictures of my car. So instead of clogging up bandwith....those interested in more pics my IG name is subie_chik

Thanks for looking and I look forward to learning a lot from the community.

Welcome to cl! First off I'd like to say that if you decide to get a 350 instead of the 250, the power loss won't be as drastic as the 350 has 100hp on the 250.

If your 250 is awd, you should definitely get the carbon issue checked out.
Another thing I would like to point out is, if you are dead serious about buying the 2is, do not expect to have exceptional gains in power compared to the Subarus you have owned. There has been custom made turbos and super chargers here by true car enthusiast here on the forums but they put out I believe 50 Hpish

Other than that you can make this car look exceptionally well

The car is extremely reliable, probably one of the most if not the most reliable luxury performance sedan on the market, you'll def enjoy the luxurious upgrade on the inside. Again welcome to cl!

Thanks!

The reason I decided to go with the 250 over the 350 is soley based on the availability of the 6sp manual. I will have a clutch pedal until I die lol. While I will truely miss the power....I do believe this is best for me. I do not race or track my car and having the power is purely just to put a smile on my face....and I have gotten into trouble with it. I would prefer to get rid of the temptation This is another reason why I decided to stick with manual.....at least I will still have a little fun while driving.

Welcome to CL!

Great collection of cars you have there.

A drop, nice set of wheels and a lip is a great way to start on the IS.

You will find all the info you need concerning the IS on this forum. Good luck.

Yup, they put the 6sp in the '07-'09 Spec B's but I never minded it. I liked the '06 better regardless because of the limited factor. They only made 500 SpecB's in '06...mine is 255/500.

I almost purchased a Spec B (blue interior) once; but the dealership wanted $5k more than my budget. So instead I got me an IS350

Love the silver with the brick red interior; always eye-catching!

Welcome, and enjoy your stay!

So a little update...

I got my '08 IS250 back in October and I have been loving it ever since! I haven't been posting pictures of it because I've been depressed that it's stock

I finally sold my SpecB but I'm not too sad bc now I can scratch my modding itch a little bit and make this thing mine

Here's a pic and some of the goodies Fed Ex has been dropping off on my doorstep

Only things I don't have pictures of is my Accuair Stage 2 kit which is being shipped, my Ordens are being relipped, and my HIDs from The Retrofit Source should be here tomorrow. I was going to get a lip kit but my friend has the full INGS kit and he told me he would let me have it when he gets rid of his 350
