Default sirius xm interface kit questions

Hi guys, this noob question but i got the 06 so no shark fin but it is SAT ready. So i message the seller and they say i can use the antenna provided in the kit. Will it work and where will the best location for it be? Thanks

It would probably be the easier to mount the antenna on the front windshield since you have to take apart the dash to install the VAIS adapter. I do remember reading some threads about people comparing the performance in the front windshield and the rear (no special comparison tools but the driver did notice the rear got less cut outs).

I just went through this install last weekend but I have the OEM antenna built into my car. I ran an adapter cable from the back of my car all the way to the front.

I would invest in a set of plastic trim removal tools if you haven't already.
