Help with used purchase
I found an '07 350 with 61k that I'm interested in. One owner and service records look good to me, but I honestly don't know exactly what I'm looking for. I've read to look for cam gear to fix the cold start issue?? Anyone willing/able to look over these service records for me and let me know what to look out for? It's not a CPO, but I have the option of buying a 3yr bumper-bumper for ~$2500. What does the cam gear repair cost? And lastly, in terms of reliability, should I hold out for a '09+?
Thanks!

I am assuming it's the one at United BMW Roswell.
It's definately priced right at $20k.
Only 61k miles...that's low mileage...definately a great car.
60k mile service is done...that saves u $1,000.
Service Records look great...someone took good care of it.
It's definately going to be sold quickly at $19,950 price they have listed.
I would go in and make an offer of $19k drive out price with all fees included...tax, title, other fees...
If they say no, tell them $19,500 with all fees included...
If they say no again...tell them $20k but with all fees included.
$20k is still a great price...will not last too long.
Do Not buy additional warranty...you don't need it.
If there are any recalls, Lexus Dealership will take care of it for free...don't need warranty!
Good Luck!!!

Thanks everyone. Yeah it's the one at BMW of Roswell. I'll try calling the servicing dealer to get more info on the records. Was the cold start issue a recall/campaign or just a warrantied item if it happened?

FWIW on pricing:
I just bought a 06' IS350
63k miles
all service records (including 60k service)
loaded - nav, ML sound, heated/cooled seats/ back cam / parking sensors /etc etc
19" rims tires / 18" stock rims with snow tires
3 sets of floor mats
LED tail lights (stock ones also)
Lowered on H&R springs (stock also)
... car was in flawless shape
I paid 17k for it
