A sticker behind inside rear biew mirror
Hi
Do you have any idea what it is ?
I got a used 2010 IS250 and yesterday I found a sticker which is stick to the back of the inside rear view mirror, just above the sensor.
Anyone has any idea what it is ? I already tear it off and did not notice any connection between the sticker and the mirror

Looks like a long range antenna for an RFID tag.
Here are a few RFID websites that have similar tags.
http://www.projectionsa.co.za
http://www.indiamart.com/cardsindia/...nd-labels.html
http://www.spychips.com/devices/rfid...mages2006.html
http://rfidsecurity.uark.edu/picture...HF/Alien01.jpg
I think these guys are the manufacture of the tag.

Based on the paper I found at White Paper from Old Miss University it looks like the max range should be about 23 feet (7 meters)
As to why it is there, that's a totally different question

Just found one on my old car - it was falling off the top of the inside rear-view mirror..
It is a passive RFID tag used by dealers on their sites to track car inventory and cars in for service.
It says "Alien" on it because "Alien Technology" makes the stickers.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alien_Technology
"My Dealer Lot Automation" supplies the overall system.
