Thats insurance fraud. Its a felony.

Fraud is never the answer. Do you have collision coverage? If so, file a claim and pay your deductible. Its at fault, so you rates may go up.

Just call your insurance and tell them what happened. You'll end up paying your deductible, and hopefully its low.
Never commit a fraud. You'll end up in quite a *****hole.

Or you can just took off the rear bumper and use a hammer to pop it out and leave it as it until you have money to fix it. Buy a rear bumper or if it's repairable, fix it. (cheaper that way) I wonder how did you get a $3000 in quote ? If only bumper needed to be fix, shouldn't be that much.

If there's not much damage, i would just POP it out until you have the funds to fix or get a new bumper cover.

I wouldn't ever commit fraud, but if I were to I wouldn't ask about it on an internet forum

No way that's 3k in damages.
Did you ask for a paper quote? To see the list of repairs and items they will be ordering/repairing?
Do you have parking sensors on your car?
