Confused new member!
Most recent post on LS forum lol. This looks like the IS forum. Wondering if anyone has installed the Autozone Duralast Gold Ceramic disc brake pads? I did yesterday and everything is working fine did all four corners! My question is the new brakes come with there own shim technology and was told no need to install stock shim hardware to the new brakes, I did as told .Is this true to anybody that has installed these brakes out there? Also on the front brakes the hardware kit came with two clips instructions said if applicable, I couldn't find anywhere to install them on new brakes so I left them off. Has anyone found a place for these clips it's stated they are important if applicable.
Everything is working fine just wanted other input. Thanks!
Realized I screwed up again edit as I'm a second gen I believe as its an 06 IS350!

Welcome aboard!
Use the shims that came with the new pads, and you don't need any clips for the fronts, only the anti-rattle spring. For the rears, take a look a the pictures in the link below, maybe that's what's in your kit?
See Front Brakes IS350:

I would only re-use the OEM shim if the "shim" was NOT a metal shim that came with the replacement pads. I have used an aftermarket pad that came with an integrated non-metallic "shim" and I re-used the OEM shim and anti-squeal shim too. The EBC Yellows I have sitting in the garage to replace the front pads on my '06 350 have a built-in metal shim; so I'd NOT re-use the OEM shim...maybe the anti-squeal shim though.
