Default Front License Plate Tow Hook

Well, Texas just made it mandatory to have 2 affixed license plates on any vehicle on a public highway, so joy, ANOTHER tax for living in this great country.

So I have to debate, which would yall run, the Grimmspeed for $70 or the fleabay unit for $40?

Grimm

Fleabay

Thanks

I went with the Grimmspeed one. Did an 09 front conversion and didn't want to drill holes. It's worth the extra money, it's fully adjustable to where you want to position it.

Yea, I went ahead and spent the $80.

Still pisses me off that we have to have 2 license plates though

CA has BEEN like that and I always run the risk. I got a fix it ticket on my daily driver last week for $110 ($10) if it's signed off. Luckily I have friends

I just prefer to NOT give the police any reason to harass me.

I think it was always 2 plates... but people were unsure. The recent new law just clarified the punishment I believe. Up to $200 fine now or something. For the most part the cops can't be bothered for pulling you over for for no front plate, but if you get pulled over for something else, they'll add it to your ticket too lol.

There was no defined penalty, now it's a $200 fine.

I zip tied my license plate to the lower front airdam. Being centered and not contrasting with paint makes for a cleaner look.

oh ok i see. I seen that once Texas changed there plate style to the flat type, there was only one plate on those cars. So what i'm tryin to say is the cars with the flat plate types only had the plates in the back but the older ones that were embossed had both front and back's.

But i might just be wrong. I've always lived near Texas, just not in Texas.

You'll be happy with your purchase. Very good quality unit. And like stated earlier its adjustable so you can mess with the position and set it to where you like it best.
