04152-YZZA3 is for the IS250/350 RWD, GS350/450h RWD and GX460 (Replaces 04152-31020, 31080)
04152-YZZA4 is for the LX570 (Replaces 04152-38020)
04152-YZZA5 is for the IS250/350 AWD, GS350 AWD, GS460, LS460/600h (Replaces 04152-YZZA2, 31060, 38010)
04152-YZZA6 is for the CT200h (Replaces 04152-37010)
04152-51010 is for the IS-F

04152-YZZA2, YZZA3, YZZA5, 31020, 31060, 31080 and 38010 are all the same size filter element, with differing o-ring selections (YZZA2, YZZA5, 31060 and 38010 all come with 2 o-rings, YZZA3, 31020 and 31080 all come with 1 o-ring).

04152-YZZA4, 04152-38020 and 04152-51010 are all the same size filter element.

I think that about covers everything. You can use the YZZA4 for the LX570 or IS-F, no other Lexus uses the same size.

Related to the 2IS:

RWD: 04152-YZZA2, YZZA3, YZZA5, 31020, 31060, 31080 and 38010 all work.
AWD: 04152-YZZA2, YZZA5, 31060 and 38010 all work.
IS-F: 04152-51010 and YZZA4 work.

I hope that list is relatively clear, and explains what uses what.

So this came up recently and thought it would be a good idea to have this compiled in one place and maybe some of our newer experts or old-timers can help out. I've just quoted the information from other threads and added some other bits and when we figure it all out I'll re-write the first post with all the correct info pertaining to what Lexus models can use what TRD filters. Then we can move it wherever the mods want.

For now I'd like to stick to the 2IS and from there we can add other Lexus models.

So for now we can say that PTR43-00081 works for the IS-F which I'm sure some would love to hear.

FYI we may have confirmation that PTR43-00079 (not pictured above - can get online, probably replaced by x00080) can be used in the IS350. You can join the conversation here:

I currently run the TRD oil filter in my 2006 IS350...I can get the part number at home, as I have a couple more for future oil changes

So other than the TRD logo and the extra cost, what's the difference?

Agree with you here, Toyota's own standard filters would have had plenty of RnD to make sure they're up to standard. Can't see the point in running a TRD one myself.

But in saying that I only use TGP products and get told a lot that generic off the shelf copies are just as good. But that's another thread altogether...

The difference is in the metal end caps and the filtering material. TRD says the filtering material is superior to the standard filter. This filter also has metal end caps. For me, the jury is still out on both these so called enhancements.

Overkill.
The regular OEM filter works well.

May be overkill, but we don't have any research that proves otherwise...I am almost at my 5,000 mile mark on 5W30 Amsoil synthetic with the TRD oil filter. I will be getting an oil analysis and will report the findings.

An oem filter has a 10K interval according to Toyota.
I do 7500 or one year oil change interval.
How would a TRD be so much better?
Are you going to run the TRD filter longer?

Nobody knows yet until the oil analysis is performed...we can speculate all we want, but until real numbers come in it is personal preferance
