IS250 Ticking noise
Hey, got that issue today (wasn't there when I picked up the car yesterday)
There's a pretty loud ticking/clicking noise coming from the left part of the motor, and it speeds up when rev's go up. Could it be the valves? And if so, how much are they to get fixed? Don't want to get raped the first time I go to the mechanic or a dealer.

define knocking...
btw, thank you guys for such promt response, some other forums feel like a cemetery
I'd think if it were a valve issue, the check engine light would come on.

So its normal that one side is louder than other? And since its cams I would expect the clicking to get faster when RPM's go up (which is exactly whats happening)

Just called the Lexus dealer that was servicing it all this time and I was told that they replaced the short block about 1k miles ago, and that the car runs fine and is all checked out

Thank you to the OP and the others.
I was about to post a vid myself of the sound. I took it to the Lexus dealer 2 weeks after purchasing the car and they said it was normal. I didn't believe it lol. Now 4 months has passed and feel a bit relieved after Sffd103 video. Thanks-

2007 is250 Loud fuel injectors
I have the 2007 is250 and I am hearing the same loud noise and hearing the same from the Lexus dealer. The noise is normal for the fuel injectors. My lexus sounds like a diesel car. Never heard the noise until after having my oil changed by the dealer. Any suggestions?
