isn't the water pump is under powertrain warranty which lexus extended it to 9yr/unlimited miles? so every IS should be able to replace it at no charge?

The original poster has an is350... Anyway, I thought the 9yr extended warranty on the is250 was only for the carbon build up issue, I didnt know it covered the whole power train... If it does thats great for the is250 people.

From what I understand, the extended repairs is only for the carbon build up and NOT the power train warranty.

Yup I wasnt happy about this.. Im a Lexus certified Technician for 5 half years.. Ive seen few IS with low miles already have water pump leak.. SMH!!! I replaced water pump on my car only has 45k miles.. WACK new Lexus...
