Hi i want to either get a paint job or fully wrap my is350 the color of it now its silver but i don't like how its so common i want something new! What are prices to paint and how much would it be to wrap? Also would that mess with the registration when i get pulled over and the cop sees that the car is a diff color but on registration its silver? Anyway this is my oem color

Unless you plan on keeping the car forever, painting it will depreciate the value tremendously. In order to get a complete paintjob that include pulling the engine and painting the bay, doors, glass, seals have to be pulled. A job like that cost me 10 grand on my Supra. You can get a respray but it'll look very bad.

Unless there's something wrong with the paint now, i say leave it as is. If anything, sell it and get the color you want. I agree silver is very common, i've never owned a silver car and never will, neither will i own a red car..

As for DMV, once u paint your car you'll have to go to DMV and tell them you changed the color, or else cops might pull you over for it, they won't ticket you, but if you are under the influence and get pulled over for that reason and you puke on the cop. Good luck

Yea, unless you plan to keep this for a while or have a hook up, a paint job is gonna run you big bucks minimally 5k to have it done correctly. Wrap isnt to cheap either, but is way more cost effective and a lot less permanent. I say wrap it and get creative with it.

wrap for sure, im a big fan of wrapping. my place in LA costs about 3000 to do a full wrap. i dont see it costing more than 3500. so shop around. you can get almost any color these days in wrap, my place has a nice alpine metalic matte wrap thats super hot. but choose which ever color you like.

i also like the idea of wrapping because it will protect your paint from rockchips, and sun damage and doesnt hurt the paint the slightest. AND ITS TEMPORARY .

I would just wrap your car its several thousand cheaper than painting and will not depreciate the value of the car. If anything you will actually prolong the value because it will still be the original paint without any scratches, minor dings or rock chips.

i've had my is250 for over 6 years now, and fancy a color change too and have decided to wrap in pearl white with black roof. i sourced a 2012 f-sport bumper for 40 bucks so started by wrapping it, here are some pics:

Yeap, here in UK, i got it from a breaker yard for 25GBP which is around $40, it had a small dent around the headlamp washer cover which i repaired.

Does wrapping an entire car cost 3K?
That's hella expensive. I know a place that wap just the roof for about $175 and the hood or trunk for $200 each, I can't imagine the rest being 2.5K.

Also a good paint job is 10K?
