120k mile service recommendation?
Hey guys, coming up on 120k on my 07 IS250 AWD. Besides the standard oil change, engine and cabin filter is there anything else that you all can think of that needs to be done at this time to keep her running strong? I'm also doing a coolant change, front and rear differential change, transmission fluid change, brake fluid change and spark plugs at this time. A local place that specializes in Lexus wants about $1,000 for all of this. Too high? Thanks.

To clarify, the $1,000 is not through a dealer but a shop that specializes in Lexus, Nissan, Toyota, etc.? So leave the transmission alone then? What about this valve lash adjustment? I have never done this either.

he explains it to infinity. Notice in each of the maintenance item he says "every."
That means at 120k, all you need done is oil, filters, brake fluid, and spark plugs. Obviously stuff like brake pads, rotors, belt, and other items are done base upon wear and do not depend on mileage.
$1000 is high. It'll be cheaper to ask for each item individually.
-oil is $100 (synthetic)
-air filters are so rediculously easy to change - $25 each
-brake fluid change is $100
-spark plugs are ~$12 each, but labor could be expensive, maybe $200?

120k service typically is:
oil change, tire rotation (if same sized tires), air filter, cabin air filter, spark plugs, brake fluid. I don't think they replace coolant, probably an extra charge to do so.
I would also recommend a throttle body cleaning and fuel injection cleaner especially if its never been done. wouldn't hurt to do it since it is at 120k...
