Default Help Bank 2 Sensor 1 & Bank 2 Sensor 2

2007 is250 awd

Bank 2 Sensor 1 & Bank 2 Sensor 2 Need to be replaced. Looking for a DIY but couldnt find one. Anyone know of one? Does the driver seat need to be removed to replace B2S2?

-----------------EDITED WITH PHOTOS-------------------------------

If anyone needs help with these two sensors here are some info and photos

DENSO 2349051 $63.79 / Bank 2 Sensor 1 (Air Fuel Sensor, Driver's Side)
DENSO 2344518 $109.79 / Bank 2 Sensor 2 (Oxygen Sensor, Driver's Side)

Parts from rockauto.com

Handy tool for removal

Bank 2 Sensor 1:

Remove this black box

Remove Sensor

Here is the plug location looking from underneath the car, you cant see it from the top but you can reach it from there, hard to unplug but do-able.

Thats One Black Sensor.

Bank 2 Sensor 2:

Sensor located right below the driver side door

I realize the Driver's Seat was the only thing needed to be removed in my method!! But that's after I had lifted the carpet, door sills, dead foot pedal. With the seat lifted up there was already a hole in the carpet where i reached in for the plug

Looking in that hole. To unplug: one hand went in that hole to press the clip, the other hand pulled the wire from the bottom where the Sensor comes in.

This is where the wire comes into the cabin

Another Black Sensor:

I wish someone had made this for me, would had save me a lot of time. Oh well, hope this helps you guys later on.

I replaced mine a while ago. You need to remove the driver seat and the center console where the shifter is. Just go under the car, unscrew the sensor. Then pull the rubber seal and wire down until it comes out. When your seat, door sills, and center console is out, the connector for the sensor is literally where the carpet bends (where there is a lump on the floor).

No you don't push the seat all the way back. Remove the dead pedal, then door sill and lift the carpet simple as that.

There's no way possible to unplug the sensor that way. I tried that and couldn't reach the plug and decided to take out the seat to fully lift up the carpet. Even then I could barely unplug it. Don't know if it's different cause I don't have AWD or a 350.

I don't know about you but chi123 that how I did my driver and passenger side. Each took less then 10min never took the seat out. Once you lift the carpet you unplug the sensor. You lost me you don't have an 350? Your signature say you do and so do I. It no difference if it even a awd. Remember the carpet slide under the center console. All you do is pull it out the way.

The driver side is a PITA, as you really have to take the gas pedal out to move the carpet out of the way...the passenger side it not that hard...but neither side do you HAVE to take the seat out, it just might make it easier

Seat was the only thing i had to remove after removing all the other stuff. what a waste of time and i broke one of the dead foot pedal clips.

quick question how many miles on the clock when you replaced these? I have an 08 350 w/55k on the clock...I get the cel along with check vsc. IMHO at 55k and having to replace these is to early.

Hate to bump an old thread, but I need some help removing the driver side o2 sensor (post cat) for my IS350. The tech info site says I have to remove the center console, but are you guys saying I just need to lift the carpet? Is the sensor connector near the shifter or near the door sill? Thanks!

PS
For anybody searching in the future, the service manual requires the seat to be removed for IS250's, however only the console box needs to be removed for IS350s.

It's under the drivers right foot on the floor board. No need to take anything apart just lift the carpet. It helps to remove the seat but the connector is reachable. At least for is350
