Default Returning Lease - Few questions

Hello,

My lease maturity date is coming up and I will be returning the car. I have a few questions about the Lexus normal wear and tear guidelines.

I have 4 things that I may or may not need to fix before returning the car, but I wanted to get your feedback based on your previous lease experiences.

- My 2 front wheels will more than likely need to be fixed. Curb rash, they are not bent.

Thoughts?

-Dent on passenger's driver. This I don't think I need to fix.

Thoughts?

-Scratched front bumper, almost under the car. More than likely needs to be repaired.

Thoughts?

-Scratched rear bumper, very small, it did penetrate the paint though, but I think based on the policy, I might not need to repair it.

Thoughts?

Here are Guidelines:

Mail Lease-end Guide:
-Wheel gouges greater than 1"
-Scratches greater than the size of a credit card that penetrates the paint
-Dents greater than the size of a credit card
-Accumulation of damage covering a majority of a panel requiring repair or replacement of entire panel

Lexus Website:
•Wheel gouges greater than 1"
•One scratch, or an accumulation of scratches, greater than 6" per panel that penetrate the paint
•10 or more paint chips per panel
•Five or more “dings” per panel or dents greater than 3.5"

I am looking for comments from people who have retuned their previous leases and more than anything else what the inspector focused the most on while examining the car.

Thanks for your comments.

Victor

I'd say the curb rash is normal wear and tear. I'd go get a bottle of touch up paint for the scratch by the rear reflector.

I actually just fixed both wheels this past weekend for a decent price $160.

I am looking into buying the touch paint from the dealership.

Thanks for the response.
